Job Summary:
With minimal supervision, perform a range of tasks related to maintaining, repairing, and installing machinery and equipment across plant, office, laboratory facilities, and surrounding property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Work: Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components and controllers ranging from 110-480 volts. Install conduits for electrical wiring as needed.
- Machine Repair: Diagnose and repair critical machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and mechanical components, ensuring accurate and timely repairs.
- Pipefitting: Thread and install pipes of various sizes, including gas lines, air lines, copper lines, hazardous chemical lines (e.g., stainless, inconel), PVC, and CPVC.
- General Maintenance: Perform basic carpentry, painting, and masonry tasks. Execute basic welding tasks proficiently.
- HVAC Knowledge: Conduct minor repairs on basic HVAC systems.
- Supervision: Provide guidance and instruction to less skilled maintenance employees.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Handle and accumulate hazardous waste as required.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in general maintenance of plant equipment.
- Significant expertise in electrical and electronics work.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair critical machinery.
- General knowledge of plant HVAC systems.
- Adaptability to varying physical environments, including extreme temperatures.
- Additional education in applied theory is required.
