Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) manages the financial operations of the hospital, aligning with policies and strategic goals. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating with other executives, the CFO oversees accounting, reimbursement, managed care, health information, and utilization review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management & Revenue Enhancement: Lead cost reduction and revenue growth initiatives.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee internal financial report accuracy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely submission of financial data to agencies.
- Trend Analysis: Identify trends and provide improvement recommendations.
- Operational Planning: Develop short- and long-term plans with the CEO.
- Budget Development: Create operational and capital budgets.
- Accounting Oversight: Manage general accounting functions and financial reporting.
- Performance Monitoring: Guide data processing, material management, and medical record functions.
- Business Forecasting: Assess financial impact of business decisions.
- Financial Trends Analysis: Monitor indicators affecting operations and investments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Report financial performance to senior administration and staff.
- Reimbursement Optimization: Address denial issues and maintain charge master accuracy.
- Contract Review: Ensure contracts align with business and profitability goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role (Hospital Controller, Assistant CFO, or VP of Finance).
- Certified Public Accountant.
