CNC Machinist

Job Description:

• CNC machinist with expertise in setup.
• Proficient in G&M code programming, tool changes, offsets, and blueprint reading for dimensional specifications.
• Interpret complex blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
• Set up fixtures, vises, and workholding devices; align as necessary.
• Load workpieces manually or using hoist, ensuring proper alignment and safety.
• Operate machines independently, monitor control panels for adjustments, and optimize machine performance.
• Conduct first piece inspections and spot-check subsequent pieces to ensure compliance with drawings.
• Optimize production by organizing materials and performing setup of other machines during machining cycles.
• Perform dry runs to identify and correct program errors before production.
• Maintain communication with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities and receive instructions.
• Implement statistical process control measures by inspecting and measuring parts.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks including checking oil and coolant levels, cleaning machines, and maintaining a tidy work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
