Summary
Leads perioperative strategy and operations to deliver exceptional patient care, grow the service line, and develop high-performing teams. Builds strong partnerships with physicians and hospital leadership while managing quality, safety, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Set vision, goals, and standards of care for Surgical Services; ensure consistent, measurable compliance.
Drive patient experience excellence and service line growth through physician and stakeholder engagement.
Lead, coach, and develop leaders and staff; use talent reviews for succession and pipeline planning.
Oversee quality and performance improvement programs; monitor regulatory and accreditation compliance.
Develop and evaluate programs that advance clinical outcomes, safety, and efficiency.
Communicate organizational priorities; foster cross-department collaboration and community relationships.
Manage budgets, staffing, and capital planning; prioritize and defend equipment requests.
Participate in hospital and departmental committees; share timely updates with represented teams.
Uphold professional standards, codes of conduct, and safety (e.g., exposure control plans).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of Surgical Services experience required.
3+ years of leadership experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
Current state RN license required.
CNOR and/or CSSM preferred.
