Job Summary:
With a minimum of supervision, this position will be responsible for keeping all equipment/machinery in the plant functioning, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and implementing preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle hazardous waste following Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain and repair production equipment, including vacuum furnaces, boilerclaves, conveyors, wax presses, and robotic cells.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Operate robots and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Assist with general plant maintenance and other tasks as required by the supervisor.
- Repair and maintain various plant equipment based on experience.
- Maintain a positive work environment and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and perform preventative maintenance across the facility.
- Conduct housekeeping and organizational tasks as needed.
- Perform limited construction and equipment installation.
- Troubleshoot and perform light programming of PLC systems.
- Work in various areas including electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering.
- Operate maintenance equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Repair and service equipment at external vendors, suppliers, customers, and other company locations.
Required Qualifications:
- General knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and repair.
- Experience in maintaining plant equipment.
- Experience in robotic maintenance and/or programming is a plus.
- Background in hydraulics, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering.
- Proven track record of teamwork and experience in post-cast manufacturing product processing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
