    Job Summary:

    The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all facilities and machinery are operational and well-maintained. This role involves troubleshooting issues, executing preventive maintenance, and managing breakdowns of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and robotic systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Safety, Compliance, and Reporting: Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Promptly report all incidents, accidents, and equipment issues.
    • Breakdown Troubleshooting and Resolution: Address equipment breakdowns by identifying faults and implementing efficient solutions to minimize production downtime. Work on various equipment including robots, furnaces, tool machines, presses, conveyors, and pumps.
    • Maintenance Tasks: Perform maintenance tasks across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems. Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders to execute maintenance and service requirements.
    • Inspection and Monitoring: Regularly inspect machines for malfunctions, including visual checks, listening for unusual noises, and conducting scheduled tests. Monitor equipment performance, identify malfunctions, and respond promptly to changes in performance, temperature, sounds, smells, or energy usage.
    • Tool Usage: Utilize a range of power and hand tools effectively to complete job functions.
    • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities. Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and provide feedback to improve maintenance practices.
    • Machine Handling and Installation: Support the relocation, installation, and repositioning of machinery and equipment as needed.
    • CMMS Utilization: Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work, track progress, and manage maintenance tasks.
    • Reporting and Feedback: Communicate breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management to foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
    • Reliability and Improvement: Contribute to equipment condition monitoring, analyze spare parts needs, and identify obsolete or excess parts. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the shop and at job sites.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment. Experience with robotic maintenance is a plus.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Knowledge of hazardous material handling, OSHA safety standards, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
