    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee product sustainability certifications, including Cradle to Cradle (C2C) and related evaluation metrics.
    • Manage the necessary data, timelines, and criteria to ensure certifications are current and accurate.
    • Handle material ingredient reporting and use tools such as DECLARE, Material Health Statements (MHS), Material Health Certificates (MHC), and HPDs.
    • Develop comprehensive documentation outlining the workflow for each certification program, detailing required data, internal and external contacts, costs, and opportunities for process improvements.
    • Assist in evaluating product portfolios, materials, and application processes to identify strategies for enhancing the sustainability impact of products and services, including reducing emissions and carbon footprint. Communicate assessment methods and findings to Product Sustainability teams, Procurement, EHS, business units, Commercial/Marketing, and Technical teams.
    • Manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BoM) data to support environmental certification through ToxNot and other databases.
    • Stay informed about advancements in sustainability valuation by participating in trade groups, conferences, seminars, and monitoring relevant publications.
    • Research and implement best practices for managing product certification data.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as chemistry, biology, engineering, environmental science, or a related area.
    • At least 5 years of experience in product sustainability, corporate sustainability, or ESG, with a proven track record of leading sustainability initiatives and a foundational understanding of product chemistry.
    • Practical experience with C2C, HPDs, carbon footprints, and Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions tools, along with science-based targets.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to all organizational levels and to customers.
    • Demonstrated success in sustainability communications and translating ideas into actionable plans with strong program/project management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Willingness to travel 20-25%.
